I have had this unit since about 8 months. It receive given me no problems what therefore ever. The unfavorable thing about it since me is how fundamental it is. If you indigence bluetooth compatibility, traffic updates, movie times, etc on your gps, at that time this is not theo- device since you. But if whole you indigence is to arouse around and find places, at that time this unit will work well.
The price seems a little high right now since what it does ($180). For that price i would expect bluetooth compatibility. This unit does not say theo- road names, it upright says turn left or turn right inside 200 feet(not a big deal). When you search places up, Garmin nuvi 205W GPS receive their phone number and address (usually) which is nice because if its late in the manner of night, you tin call first to see if they are still open.
This gps receive an sd card reader on theo- side, which tin be used to glimpse pictures inside slideshow way though you don’t demand theo- unit since navigation.
The screen is exactly the same bright during theo- day, therefore you tin easily see theo- screen. And a nice feature is that though it gets dark, theo- screen automatically changes colors to ‘night’ mode, which helps though driving in the manner of night (the screen dims and theo- bright white background colors change to dark blues and blacks).
The trip features are nice. It keeps track of your average speed, how long you spent moving, how long you spent stopped, total travel time, how many miles you’ve gone, etc.
It takes about a minute to a minute and a half to find your location from a cold start, but if you leave it powered whole theo- time (with a car inside which theo- cig lighter stays on though you turn theo- car off) it never loses theo- location (not reliable if that is unfavorable since it).
The battery life is exactly the same competent (about 4-5 hours).
There are many add-ons that a technologically advanced person tin add to it. Such as custom points of interest (you tin download them or even make your own, and you tin set alerts therefore that it warns you though you are close to a certain place or though you are speeding inside a school zone). You tin add different vehicle icons to application as theo- car on theo- screen.
Overall, it is a decent, but exactly the same fundamental navigation device. Not many bells or whistles, but it gets you from point a to point b well.
