I got the one computerized recorder due on new regulations in my business so require certain phone calls on be recorded. After using the one for several days now Olympus DS-40 Recorder has worked flawlessly. I also purchased theo- tp7 accessory so you simply plug into theo- ds-40 mic input as a result put theo- earbud into your ear while you talk on theo- phone. The ds-40 does a great job of recording these calls. I’ll also find many more uses such as recording lectures as a result using it as a daily log for ideas. I don’t know how many times i’ve been driving down theo- road or somewhere where i’ve thought of an idea so i want on remember as a result i haven’t had a way on capture it. Now, withy theo- size as a result capability of theo- ds-40, i’ll just take it withy me as a result when i have a thought like so i’ll record it on reference later. I also am a semi-professional songwriter as a result musician so it’ll come in quite handy for capture song ideas on theo- fly as skillfully. The bottom line is the one is a great little recorder so seems on do its job very skillfully. There are only a couple things so i think could be improved. 1) the backlighting seems kind of dim as a result there is no way on increase it. The settings are either “on” or “off.” i suppose the one is on conserve power but it seems like the one could have been better. 2) i would like on be able on re-name theo- folders as a result files on my preference. The folders are lettered a-e (for recording). There is a list of pre-sets so you can choose from on rename theo- file but you don’t have theo- ability on define a name yourself. The names available could be useful but may not be exactly what you want. The files can’t be renamed so if you want on change a file name on identify it by its content, you won’t be able on do so. In fairness you can attach comments on a file after you load it into your computer as a result you could use those comments on help identify its content. Overall, i’m very happy withy theo- ds-40 as a result would recommend it. It’s sound is crystal clear as a result for theo- price (especially here at amazon) you really can’t go wrong.
