I bought this printer for the sole purpose of printing honestly on dvds (i shoot short films and am constantly needing to impression on dvds to submit for film festivals). inquisitive the internet i couldn’t find a solid recommendation for a printer — so, for the relatively younger bit of money, i tried this one. and it works great for this purpose.
Also, a very significant thing for apple computer owners: the epson artisan 50 ink jet printer hit came with a particular install cd for anybody using the snow leopard os. I had tried to find this software online (for a friend whose epson r 280 printer had stopped working/printing his dvds) to no avail. But this comes inside the packing along with the printer. This is invaluable.
From unpacking to test printing a dvd was about 10 minutes.
